Syllabus Updates for the Spring Semester Courses, 2020 (due to Texas Tech University response to COVID-19)

Following Texas Tech University’s general guidance, starting the week of March 30th, our classes will resume via online delivery.

TTU is open with faculty and staff working remotely. Most facilities will continue to operate, although many will post reduced hours of operation. Faculty and staff should be on campus only to complete functions that are essential and cannot be completed remotely.

A decision on the need to cancel or move online face-to-face Maymester or Summer courses will be made in mid-April. Therefore, our classes will be delivered as follows:

MATH 4351-ADVANCED CALCULUS II

We shall divide the 80 minutes of the class (Tuesday and Thursday) into a reading time (30 minutes) followed by a lecture\discussion (50 minutes). This implies that you willread the material I post in advance on my website (usually my lecture notes!). I will tell you in advance what pages from what chapter we will follow the next day in lecture/discussion. You can do it in the first 30 minutes of the lecture and after that we shall have the lecture discussion via Zoom. In other words, the timetable is the following:
  • 11-11.30 AM -reading time
  • 11.30 AM-12.20 PM-Zoom lecture/discussion
The office hours will stay the some as scheduled before (Tuesdays & Thursdays 2-3.20 PM). The only difference is that they will be held via zoom.
The final exam will be a take home exam (24hr). It will be sent to you via email at midnight May 9th and you will send back to me a PDF file with the exam’s solutions on May 9th, 11.59 PM.
